A graduate from Rhode Island School of Design, and its European Honors Program in Rome, Italy, Sasha Samuels has studied with Italian masters across a lifetime. A designer by profession, her business spans four decades and has garnered numerous awards, exhibitions, and press, both nationally and internationally. Working in watercolor and oils, she traveled to Ukraine in 2023 to paint portraits of soldiers recovering from battle injuries, gifting each his portrait. Most recently, she initiated and co-curated a museum exhibition in Santa Fe, NM of contemporary Ukrainian trench art, gaining international exposure for Ukrainian artists while raising awareness of their country’s plight.
